Adobe officially launched a mobile version of Photoshop on Tuesday (25), bringing key editing tools and AI-powered features to smartphones. The app is now available for iOS, with an Android version set to arrive later.
Adobe has previously attempted to bring Photoshop to mobile with apps like Photoshop Camera (now discontinued) and Photoshop Express. However, this new release offers a more complete editing experience, including advanced features like layer organization, making it closer to the desktop version.
The app is free, but a premium plan unlocks all features.
What can be done in Photoshop for mobile phones?
The app is fully compatible with files edited in other Photoshop versions, allowing users to manage PSD files on mobile while preserving the entire editing structure. It also supports layer organization, enabling users to isolate elements and edit backgrounds with ease.
AI-Powered Features
The biggest highlight of the app is its AI-driven tools. Users can:
- Open any photo from their gallery and use smart selection to detect backgrounds.
- Remove unwanted elements with AI-assisted tools.
- Fill empty areas using generative AI.
- Edit specific parts of an image with precision AI adjustments.
User-Friendly Editing Interface
- A toolbar at the bottom of the screen provides access to key editing tools.
- AI functions are integrated for quick enhancements.
- A layer management panel is located in the right corner for easy navigation.
All projects are saved to the user’s Adobe account, making them accessible on the web version or other devices for seamless cross-platform editing.
How to download Photoshop on iOS
The app is now available on the App Store:
- Open the App Store and access Adobe Photoshop (iOS);
- Tap “get”;
- Open the app and log in to start using it.
For now, there is still no version for Android, but Adobe announced that the operating system will receive the app by the end of this year.
