Adobe continues to fulfill its commitment to bring more Creative Cloud applications natively to Windows on ARM. Adobe Illustrator is now available in beta for download, meeting the promised July deadline. However, users of Premiere Pro are still waiting, as it doesn’t yet have a specific release date.
The arrival of Adobe Illustrator for Windows on ARM is excellent news for graphic designers using devices with Snapdragon processors. This beta version, downloadable from the Creative Cloud client, promises enhanced performance compared to emulated versions. Adobe Illustrator is a versatile graphic design application primarily used for creating vector graphics, including logos, illustrations, typographic designs, icons, and various other visual elements.
Despite the progress with Illustrator, many users are eagerly anticipating the native version of Premiere Pro. This powerful video editor is crucial for numerous professionals, and its absence on Windows on ARM is notable. Adobe has also postponed the release of other applications such as After Effects and Adobe Media Encoder.
In the meantime, users requiring a native video editor on their Snapdragon devices can opt for DaVinci Resolve, which is already available and offers robust performance. Alternatively, less advanced users might consider Microsoft Clipchamp as a simpler option.
