AMD has released its latest Adrenalin 24.12.1 driver, adding support for several new game titles, but notably, Indiana Jones—set to launch next Monday (December 9)—is not yet included. This update brings support for six new games that were released between October and December, including:
- Marvel Rivals
- Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024
- Dragon Age: The Veilguard
- Slitterhead
- Delta Force
- STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl
In addition to these new titles, more games have received support for HYPR technology, enhancing performance. These include Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered, MechWarrior 5: Clans, and Red Dead Redemption. These games now benefit from improvements in HYPR, FidelityFX Super Resolution, Radeon Anti-Lag 2, and AMD’s frame generator technologies. Furthermore, the update also introduces a new AI for Radeon GPUs, promising even better performance and efficiency for supported titles.
Other changes with the new driver
The AMD Adrenalin 24.12.1 driver introduces several exciting new features, including advancements in AI development on GPUs under specific conditions:
- Official support for Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL 2), enabling users with compatible hardware to develop AMD ROCm software on a Windows system without needing a dual-boot setup.
- WSL 2 support has also been added for popular AI frameworks such as ONNX Runtime, TensorFlow, and Triton.
- Expanded Vulkan extensions have been introduced, enhancing graphics and performance for compatible applications.
Additionally, games like The Crew Motorfest, Fortnite, and Monster Hunter: World, along with applications such as OBS Studio, SteamVR, and llama.cpp, received specific adjustments and performance improvements.
However, there are still some issues to note. Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 continues to experience problems running on computers with Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processors, and Marvel Rivals has issues with FSR 3 frame generation enabled, causing performance hiccups.
