Apple has officially revealed the date for their upcoming special event to introduce the new iPhone 15, Apple Watch, and iPad. The event is set for September 12 at 10.30 PM IST and will be live-streamed in their usual pre-produced video style.
One of the key highlights of this event is the unveiling of the iPhone 15 lineup, featuring four models: iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max (or possibly iPhone 15 Ultra).
There’s a lot of buzz about these phones possibly switching to a new USB-C connector, which would change from the long-used Lightning port that Apple has had for over a decade. There’s also excitement for the potential inclusion of a 48 MP camera placed in a Dynamic Island on the top of the screen. Larger batteries and a fresh design with rounded corners across all devices are also anticipated.

For the more standard duo – the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus – we can expect them in green, blue, pink, yellow, and black. These models will likely have a dual camera setup and carry the A16 Bionic processor from the previous year.
The premium pair, consisting of the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max (or Ultra), might come in white, silver, black, and blue – hinted at in Apple’s invitation. These high-end models might feature a tougher titanium finish, slimmer bezels around the screen for a sleek look, a high-performance A17 Bionic chip, and a virtual Action button replacing the physical Mute button.
Apple might opt for a different name to distinguish the larger premium model, possibly switching from the iPhone 15 Pro Max to the iPhone 15 Ultra. With that change could come a periscope lens zoom camera for powerful zoom without losing quality, rivaling what the Galaxy S23 and Xiaomi 13 Ultra offer.
On top of the new iPhone 15, we expect to see the Apple Watch Series 9 and Ultra 2 introduction, featuring faster and more efficient processors. There might also be a new version of the iPad Mini starting with 128 GB storage and the launch of AirPods charging cases with a USB-C port.
