At IFA Berlin 2024, Intel is making a big splash with its Intel Core Ultra 200V processors (codenamed Lunar Lake), positioning itself as a formidable competitor to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Series chips.
These new processors are designed to excel in performance and energy efficiency, which is crucial for the evolving portable and AI-powered computing device market. Asus is actively participating in this competition by introducing four new Copilot+ PCs powered by Intel’s latest technology:
ASUS Zenbook S 14: A premium laptop that’s more efficient than ever

The Asus Zenbook S 14 (UX5406) is a premium laptop for $1,399.99. It is designed to be robust, highly portable, and weighs only 1.2 kg. It is powered by Intel’s latest Core Ultra 7 258V processor and includes a 48 TOPS NPU to handle local AI tasks, making it well-suited for AI-powered applications and workloads.
The Intel Arc 140V graphics offer competitive performance, particularly regarding power efficiency, challenging rivals from AMD and Qualcomm in portable devices.
One of the Zenbook S 14’s standout features is its 14-inch OLED touch display, which delivers exceptional visuals with a 2880×1800 resolution in a 16:10 aspect ratio. The display supports a 120Hz refresh rate, 500 nits HDR brightness, and is PANTONE-certified, ensuring vibrant colors and accurate image quality—ideal for creative and productive tasks.
Additional key features include:
- FullHD webcam with Windows Hello for biometric security and Windows Studio Effects for enhanced video calls.
- 4 Dolby Atmos-supported speakers, providing immersive sound quality.
- Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 for cutting-edge wireless connectivity.
- A range of ports, including two Thunderbolt 4, a USB-A 3.2, HDMI 2.1, and a 3.5mm audio jack to support a variety of peripherals and connections.

ASUS Vivobook S 14: Same power as its older brother but with some cuts
The ASUS Vivobook S 14 is a good option for anyone who finds the €1,400 price of the Zenbook too high but is comfortable spending around €1,000 on a new laptop.
It has the same CPU, GPU, NPU, RAM, and SSD as the Zenbook S 14, so you’re still getting a solid performance. The main difference is in the screen. While it’s still an OLED display, its specs are slightly lower: a 1900 x 1200 resolution, 60Hz refresh rate, and 400 nits of brightness.

ASUS Vivobook 14/16 Flip: Intel’s latest also comes to convertibles
This laptop is known for its flexibility. With a 360-degree hinge, it can easily switch between being used as a laptop, tablet, or even laid flat, offering more ways to use it. Its compatibility with Windows Ink and the ASUS Pen 2.0 makes it a great choice for creatives and artists.
The ASUS Vivobook Flip comes in two sizes: 14-inch and 16-inch models. Both versions feature the same Intel Lunar Lake CPUs with powerful 47 TOPS NPUs that we’ve seen in other models.
The display resembles the Vivobook S 14 but has added Windows Ink support. While the resolution works well for the 14-inch model, it may feel lacking for the larger 16-inch version.
