Obsidian Entertainment has announced the release date for its highly anticipated RPG, Avowed, which is set to launch on February 18, 2025, for Xbox Series X|S and PC.
There are three different editions available for pre-order:
- Digital Standard Edition
- Digital Premium Edition
- Premium Edition Steelbook
The Digital Premium Edition and Premium Edition Steelbook have exclusive bonuses like unique skins, an artbook, and the game’s soundtrack. Additionally, these versions offer early access, allowing players to start their adventure five days earlier, on February 13, 2025.
Pre-orders for Avowed are now live on the Xbox Store, Xbox App on Windows, Battle.net, and Steam. The game will also be available as a Day One release for Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass subscribers, making it accessible to a broad audience from launch day.
With its immersive gameplay and being part of Xbox Game Pass, Avowed is shaping up to be one of the major releases to watch in early 2025.
Avowed’s requirements
Alongside the pre-order announcement, Obsidian Entertainment has also shared the PC system requirements for running Avowed. Notably, NVIDIA confirmed that the game will support DLSS 3 upscaling, Reflex, and Ray Tracing technologies for players using the latest GeForce RTX GPUs.

While the minimum specs are relatively accessible, requiring mid-range hardware like the GTX 1070 or Radeon RX 5700, the recommended specs push the requirements higher with the need for high-performance GPUs such as the RTX 3080 or RX 6800 XT. Additionally, both configurations require 16 GB of RAM and SSD storage to ensure smooth gameplay.
