Insiders enrolled in the Canary Channel will receive Build 26058.1000, while those in the Dev Channel will get Build 26058.1100 (KB5036078). This setup allows us to test deploying a full build and a maintenance update simultaneously. Notably, there’s no disparity between the two versions; Build 26058.1100 doesn’t introduce any additional code.
This alignment of versions between the Canary and Dev channels is only temporary. During phases when both channels share the same versions (like version 26058), Canary Channel Insiders can switch to the Dev channel. However, the Canary Channel will transition to higher build numbers in the future, closing this alignment window.

Once activated, you can easily toggle the Pointer Indicator on or off using the keyboard shortcut Win + Ctrl + X.

New notification badge for widgets
They are starting to roll out a new badge experience for Widgets.
Widget badges will notify you when you’ve missed important notifications on the taskbar. For example, if you have three missed notifications, you’ll see a badge indicating this on the Widgets icon.

When you open the Widgets dashboard, you can easily view the details of the notifications you’ve missed in the top left corner of the dashboard. This new feature aims to help you stay updated and organized with your notifications.

Better lock screen weather experience
If you’re using the Canary Channel, get ready for a more immersive weather experience on your lock screen. We’re introducing dynamic and interactive weather updates that provide richer information. When you hover your mouse over the weather details on the lock screen, you’ll see more comprehensive information.
By tapping or clicking the weather card and signing in, you’ll be directed to Microsoft Edge to explore the full forecast in MSN Weather. If you’re already using Weather in Settings > Personalization > Lock screen > Lock screen status, you won’t need to make any changes.
This new weather experience will be enabled by default, but if you prefer not to see it, you can switch the lock screen status to “None.” Regardless of your personalization choice (Windows spotlight, Picture, or Slideshow), you’ll enjoy this enhanced weather display when you lock your screen.

Changes and improvements in Build 26058
