When Microsoft bought Activision Blizzard, fans hoped the games would hit Game Pass immediately. But Phil Spencer said to wait until 2024. Now, a bit earlier than expected, the first Activision game is coming to Game Pass – Diablo IV on March 28th.
Diablo IV was a huge 2022 hit. Adding it to Game Pass opens it up to 34 million subscribers.
Microsoft focused most of the announcement for Diablo IV’s Game Pass launch on sharing Xbox games coming to other platforms soon. But they assured bringing Diablo IV over is just the start of getting Activision Blizzard titles onto Game Pass.
With the acquisition done, Microsoft will have so many titles to add. They will gradually reach Game Pass over time. More will be announced later as well.
