Capcom and GOG have officially launched Dino Crisis 1 and Dino Crisis 2 for PC with various improvements to enhance the gameplay experience. These classic titles are part of GOG’s Digital Store Preservation Program, an initiative by CD Projekt Red aimed at keeping older games accessible and optimized for modern systems.
Thanks to these updates, both games now run smoothly on Windows 10 and 11, support 4K resolution, and are compatible with modern controllers. Additionally, cloud save functionality allows players to continue their progress seamlessly across different devices, including PCs and portable consoles.
The GOG preservation program has also improved Dino Crisis and Dino Crisis 2 by refining geometric calculations, stabilizing textures and transformations, and enhancing animations, videos, and soundtracks for a smoother experience on PCs.
The best part? Neither game requires high-end hardware to run well. The system requirements are minimal, meaning virtually any modern computer can handle them with ease.

New Dino Crisis is coming?
It’s worth noting that Capcom frequently conducts surveys to understand which franchises fans want to see revived on modern consoles and PCs, and Dino Crisis is always among the most requested. Alongside it, fans consistently ask for the return of other beloved series like Breath of Fire and Mega Man.
Despite ongoing rumors and alleged leaks, Capcom has yet to announce a new installment for the Dino Crisis franchise. Instead, the company has explored other dinosaur-themed experiences, such as Exoprimal. The last official entry in the series, Dino Crisis 3, was released exclusively for the original Xbox back in 2003.
