Nearly two months after the global version of the Galaxy S24 FE was leaked, the South Korean variant has now surfaced in tests, confirming the device’s technical specifications and suggesting an imminent launch.
This version, which is identified by the model number SM-S721N, typically denotes Samsung’s South Korean models. It shares similar specifications with the global variant, including a slightly less powerful Exynos 2400 processor.
Equipped with 8 GB of RAM, Android 14, and the Exynos 2400 processor, the South Korean Galaxy S24 FE runs at slightly reduced frequencies, which seem to have a negligible impact on its overall performance. The device achieved 1,625 points in single-core and 5,698 points in multi-core benchmarks, comparable to last year’s flagship models.
Although these scores are slightly lower than those of the global S24 FE (2,047 points single-core and 6,289 points multi-core), they fall within the typical margin of error for the standard Galaxy S24.
Rumors suggest that the South Korean version might feature a different variant of Samsung’s proprietary processor, tentatively named “Exynos 2400e.” The tests confirmed lower clock speeds, but it’s unclear if there will be additional modifications to the chip.
The recent tests and the appearance of the device’s support page on Samsung’s French website suggest a launch is near. If Samsung follows the previous generation’s timeline, the Galaxy S24 FE will likely be unveiled in mid-October.
The rumored specifications for the Galaxy S24 FE include up to 12 GB of RAM, at least 128 GB of storage, a triple camera setup with a 50 MP main sensor, a 4,500 mAh battery, and Android 14 with One UI 6.1.1 and Galaxy AI features. The device is also expected to come in a range of colors, including black, gray, light green, light blue, and yellow. Further details are likely to emerge as the launch date approaches.
