These enhancements are primarily driven by software optimizations introduced with OneUI 7, Samsung’s custom Android interface. Previous versions, such as OneUI 6, faced some challenges with the fluidity of unlocking due to software animation limitations.
The Galaxy S24 series already boasts top-tier hardware for biometric authentication. With ultrasonic sensors, these devices are faster than optical sensors and reliable even when your fingers are wet or dirty.
The updates are expected to roll out soon, possibly with the next Beta release of the operating system.
Galaxy S25 line is on the way.
Samsung is gearing up to launch its Galaxy S25 lineup, which is anticipated to debut in late January. The standout model in the series is expected to be the Ultra version, featuring a significant upgrade to its ultrawide camera, increasing the resolution to 50 MP. The design is also rumored to be revamped, offering a more ergonomic feel with fewer sharp edges for enhanced comfort.
Performance improvements are also on the horizon, thanks to the new Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, which promises up to 45% better performance than its predecessor. Additionally, the Ultra model is expected to see a bump in RAM, increasing from 12 GB to 16 GB, further boosting its multitasking capabilities.
