Google made a mistake by accidentally revealing essential details about its upcoming Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro phones. This happened on their Pixel Simulator website. They accidentally showed the design, three colors, and many specifications and features. They tried to remove the information, but it had already spread online.
Pixel 8 Pro will have a SIM card tray and a mmWave 5G modem.
Let’s begin with the three different finishes. The Pixel 8 Pro will come in Licorice, Porcelain, and Sky colors. The Pixel Simulator website also spilled the beans on various features and specs of this flagship phone.
Google has published a Pixel Simulator with the Google Pixel 8 Pro, confirming the three colors of Licorice, Porcelain, and Sky.
The Temperature sensor is also present, along with what appears to be even bezels and a flat screen.

It includes a body temperature sensor near the rear camera. Plus, it will have a SIM card tray, so it’s not going all-in on eSIM-only versions. The phone will have speakers at the top and bottom for great sound without headphones.
The Pixel 8 Pro is rumored to have a telephoto lens with 5x zoom, though it’s unclear whether it’s lossless or a mix of optical and digital zoom. It will also have an NFC, a mmWave antenna cover, and multiple microphones.
This phone is expected to be Google’s most feature-packed one yet. And this leak, coming before the iPhone 15 event, might change what buyers seek. Google seems to be going for a flat screen with equal bezels, similar to Apple’s design. This might make it easier to hold.
Unfortunately, we still don’t have details about the Tensor G3 SoC that will power the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. But we’ll keep you updated if more leaks happen.
