The HMD Hyper has had new details leaked, adding to the earlier reveal of its design, which is reminiscent of the Nokia Lumia series from a decade ago.

According to a post from the reliable informant @smashx_60 on X (formerly Twitter), the HMD Hyper is expected to feature a Full HD OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Specific details about the screen size and brightness have yet to be disclosed.

The smartphone is anticipated to come with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor, the same chip found in the Realme 12 Pro 5G and the Moto G Stylus 5G (2024).

The HMD Hyper is likely to offer at least one variant with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage, with support for MicroSD cards for additional space.

The camera system will reportedly include three rear lenses: a 50 MP main sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 13 MP secondary sensor, and an 8 MP third sensor. The front camera will have a 50 MP resolution.

The device is also expected to house a 4,700 mAh battery with 33 W fast charging support.

Additionally, the leak includes an image of the HMD Hyper in yellow, showing a plastic finish and a rectangular camera module that highlights two of the three rear lenses.

As the release date approaches, more details are likely to emerge. The HMD Hyper is set to follow recent launches by the brand that draw heavy inspiration from the Lumia line, such as the HMD Skyline, which features a metal body instead of plastic.
