How to Convert a PDF to PNG

Need to turn a PDF document into a PNG image file? Good news – there are tons of free converter tools out there for the job! The trick is finding ones that are safe, simple and work great on whatever device you’re using.

Search around and you’ll see lots of random sites and apps promising to convert between PDF, Word, JPEGs etc. But many are bogged down with noisy ads or seem fishy to download. No good!

So I’ve already scouted out some legit PDF to PNG converters to recommend instead:

In Convertio

1. Open the site convertio.co/en/pdf-png/;
2. Click “Select Files” and choose a PDF file;
3. Select the “Convert” button;
4. At the end, click “Download” to download an image or a zip with PNG images;
5. Click “Convert More Files” to turn another PDF into PNG.

On iPhone

1. Download the Convert PDF to JPG, PDF to PNG app from the App Store;
2. Open the app;
3. Tap “Open PDF File” and select the desired PDF on iPhone;
4. Under “Output Format Image”, select “PNG”;
5. Tap “Convert to Images” to convert PDF to PNG;
6. After finishing the task, tap the PNG file;
7. Select the “Open/Share PNG file” option to open the image and share it with people and apps.
8. If it’s multiple images, tap the ZIP file and select “View all photos ZIP” to view all images, or “Open/Share ZIP File” to share with people and apps.

On Android

1. Download PDF to JPG/JPEG, PNG Converter app from Play Store;
2. Tap “Select PDF File”
3. Choose the PDF you want to convert;
4. Select the pages you want to convert;
5. Under “Output Format”, choose “png”;
6. Select the “Convert” button and wait for the PDF to PNG conversion;
7. Tap “Show Images” to access the folder with the images.
