Creating the QR Code is simple. Go to your profile’s Options menu, customize the code with your preferred design, and share it with your contacts. Here’s a step-by-step guide!
How to Generate a QR Code for Your Instagram Profile
1. Open the Instagram app and click the icon with your photo on the right of the bottom menu.
2. Click the “Three lines” icon in the upper right corner.
3. With the side menu open, click “QR code.”
Important: If this option doesn’t appear for you, ensure your app is current.
4. Your code has been generated, and you can scan other QR Codes. Just click on “Read QR code” in the bottom corner.
5. Point the camera at a QR Code and wait for Instagram to read it.
6. Back in your QR Code tab, you can customize it. Click “Color” in the top corner to view new options.
7. Another option available is “Emoji,” which will insert various emojis in the background of your code. Click anywhere on the screen to change the displayed emoji. To see other layouts, click “Emoji” in the top corner.
8. “Selfie” is the last option available. It allows the user to choose an icon to fill a selfie photo. Tap any area of the screen to view more icon options. Once you find an option, click the circular icon in the bottom corner to “Take a photo.”
9. The icon you chose will fill the screen background with the QR Code. If you want to change it, click “Take another photo” in the upper right corner.
10. Once you adjust a background that suits you, click the “Share” icon in the upper right corner to send it to new contacts.
