Apple is preparing to launch the iPhone 15 series with exciting changes this year. They are replacing the Lightning connector with a USB-C port and bringing Dynamic Island to all the models. The Mute button is also getting its first update since the first iPhone was released in 2007. Let’s look at what we can expect from the new Action button.
With the latest beta version of iOS 17, codes found by the MacRumors website suggest that the Action button on the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max will have various functions:
- Accessibility: Quick access to settings like VoiceOver, Zoom, and Audio Descriptions.
- Shortcuts: Launch pre-programmed Shortcuts with a single press.
- Silent Mode: Toggle mute mode on or off like the current button.
- Camera: Quickly access the camera for photos or videos.
- Flashlight: Activate the rear camera LED flash to use as a flashlight.
- Focus: Switch between different Focuses or disable the current one.
- Magnifier: An accessibility function to enlarge screen text or use the camera for magnification.
- Translate: A shortcut to the Translator app or start voice translation.
- Recorder: Start a voice recording with the action button.
The launch of the new iPhones is expected in September, with four models in the lineup. The iPhone 15 and 15 Plus will likely feature 6.1 and 6.7-inch screens, a new 48 MP rear camera, and an advanced A16 Bionic chip.
The iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max are expected to have even more advancements, including thinner edges on the screen, an improved 48 MP main camera, an A17 Bionic processor with 3-nanometer lithography manufacturing, and a durable titanium chassis.
The iPhone 15 Pro Max will also feature a new periscope zoom camera, allowing for closer zoom without compromising image quality.
As we approach the launch date, more details about the iPhone 15 line will likely emerge. So, stay tuned for further updates on this exciting release.
