As reported by Gizmochina, Apple’s next-generation iPhones will come equipped with the M14 OLED display, an upgrade over the M13+ used in the Galaxy S25 lineup. Developed by Samsung Display, this advanced screen will first appear on the iPhone 16 Pro, iPhone 16 Pro Max, and Google Pixel 9 before making its way to the iPhone 17 series.

Rumors suggest that Apple will equip the entire iPhone 17 lineup with Samsung Display’s most advanced screen yet—the M14 OLED.
Interestingly, even the Galaxy S25 Ultra won’t feature this cutting-edge display. Instead, Samsung’s latest flagship will use the M13+, a refined version of its predecessor.
To make up for the lack of the newer panel, Samsung has introduced the AI Proscaler feature in the Galaxy S25 series. This exclusive technology enhances image quality in real time, improving visual clarity for users.
What changes on the new screen?
The M14 OLED displays represent a notable upgrade over the M13, thanks to the use of advanced red deuterium materials in their construction.
According to Gizmochina, this new display is up to 30% more energy-efficient, which translates to improved battery life for devices using it. Additionally, the M14 OLED screen is also 30% brighter than the previous generation, offering better visibility and an overall enhanced viewing experience.
