Leaked images have surfaced showing what appears to be the MacBook Pro with the M4 chip, even before its official release. According to the source of the leak, the device was sold through a Facebook group.
The packaging confirms some specifications already hinted at in previous reports, such as a model featuring 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal storage. The new M4 chip reportedly has a 10-core CPU and 10-core GPU and enhanced support for Ray Tracing and AI improvements.
The images show the notebook in a Space Black finish, although other color options are expected to be available. Regarding design, the new MacBook Pro is not expected to undergo any major changes, with rumors suggesting significant design updates might come with an M5 model anticipated for 2025, which could include a new camera module at the top of the display.
The leak, shared by the ShrimpApplePro profile, did not clarify how this pre-release unit ended up in the consumer’s hands, nor was the identity of the Facebook group disclosed.

Apple reportedly plans to update its entire lineup of computers and notebooks to M4 platforms simultaneously. The company focuses on integrating advanced AI capabilities across all devices, necessitating the more advanced neural processing units in the M4 chip, surpassing those in the M3 series.
While no official release date for the MacBook Pro M4 has been confirmed, an announcement is rumored for October, with more leaks likely to surface.
