Microsoft continues to enhance one of its most powerful tools for businesses: Microsoft 365 Copilot. Not only are new features on the way, but the platform is also receiving a visual makeover, now more closely resembling the Copilot experience available to regular users.

In an interview with The Verge, Jon Friedman, Microsoft’s Corporate VP of Design and Research, shared that the company has been rebuilding the Microsoft 365 Copilot app almost from scratch. Their goal? To usher in a new era—one where the app deeply understands its users and offers highly relevant, tailored assistance.
One of the standout features announced is an AI-powered business search tool. This new feature will be able to pull information from third-party platforms such as Slack, Google Drive, and ServiceNow, helping companies access the data they need across all their workflows.
In addition to functional upgrades, Microsoft 365 Copilot is also getting a visual refresh. While its interface doesn’t fully mirror the consumer version of Copilot, there are clear similarities, especially now that the app opens directly to a chat screen by default. Another addition is the Notebooks feature, which functions like a digital binder where users can organize and share collections of links, files, and pages directly with Copilot. This makes collaboration and information access more seamless than ever before.
One of the most exciting new features coming to Microsoft 365 Copilot is Copilot Create—a tool that lets users generate images, videos, surveys, and more directly within Office documents. It feels like the next step in the evolution of Microsoft Designer, but this time powered by OpenAI’s GPT-4.
