Microsoft is adding new features to its products, like Edge, the company’s web browser that keeps improving. One of these new features is called “Circle to Copilot.”
This feature was announced some time ago and will make searches much easier and faster. But that’s not all. After a few weeks of silence, it’s been revealed that the company has started testing this feature on iOS. This means we might get this update sooner than expected.
What is Circle to Copilot, and how does it work?
It’s worth noting that Circle to Copilot was announced a while back. Essentially, it’s a feature that will be available on Android, MacOS, Windows, and also on iOS, allowing for quick searches powered by Copilot’s AI.
With this feature, you can draw a circle on the screen to focus on specific content. Then, Copilot’s AI will search the internet for the product or item you’ve highlighted with the circle. In simpler terms, it’s quite similar to Google’s Circle to Search feature.
This feature is very handy and is currently being tested on iOS. So, if you have one of these devices, you’ll be able to enable it easily.
How to enable and use Circle to Copilot on iOS?
If you’re interested in activating this feature in Edge for iOS, you’ll need to follow a few steps.
First, go to the URL edge://flags. This is a place where you can turn on or off experimental browser features. In the search bar, type in “Copilot” to find the option for Edge’s image circle Copilot. Enable it, then close and reopen the browser.
Once you’ve activated the feature, simply press and hold the Copilot button in the Edge browser. This will bring up the interface, where you can draw a circle around the object or product you want to search for using AI.
Right now, this feature doesn’t allow for extracting text from captured screens. However, if you take a screenshot with text, AI can still analyze and explain the content, including the text.
