Microsoft Edge will use AI to Group tabs

By Aayush

Microsoft Edge has a fresh feature relies on artificial intelligence to organize tabs into various topics or categories. This new feature was unveiled during the company’s AI event on Thursday and is currently in preview mode in the browser. It uses AI to recognize the content on open tabs and neatly arrange them for you.

How Grouping Tabs Works

  • To use this feature, go to the actions menu at your browser’s top left.
  • You’ll see an option called “group similar tabs” in the preview, along with other tools like “search tabs” and “toggle vertical tabs.”
  • When you select this function, Edge will examine your open tabs and sort them into categories like “personal,” “work,” “shopping,” and “news.”
  • You can even personalize the names and colors of these groups to suit your liking.
