Microsoft Planner Introduces new features to improve our productivity

Microsoft continues to enhance its Planner application, an integral component of the Teams collaboration and meetings service. In April, the company announced the general availability of a revamped version of Planner, and since then, it has introduced several new features aimed at streamlining tasks and project management.

Planner launches new features to improve productivity

One of the new additions is the ability to quickly and easily share plans. Users can now share their plans with teammates in a single click by selecting a plan’s overflow menu on the “My Plans” page and choosing “Copy link to plan.”

Another notable improvement is the enhanced navigation between tasks and plans. Users can now view a specific plan linked to a task by selecting the plan name, which appears at the top of the task card in the “My Tasks” view. This feature provides better context for tasks without requiring additional time-consuming steps.

The card continues to display the number of tasks assigned to a user and provides access to the “Assigned to Me” view for detailed information. Additionally, the updated card includes an “Open Planner” button that launches the full Planner app, offering direct access to all task management features.
