Microsoft has been making significant strides in creating a seamless connection between mobile devices and Windows 11 PCs, allowing users to enjoy a more integrated experience.
In 2024, it was revealed that Android device access was already possible through Mobile Link, enabling users to connect their phones directly from the Start Menu—though initially limited to Windows Insider users.
In an official blog post, Microsoft has announced iOS integration, expanding this functionality to Apple devices as well.

As mentioned earlier, one of the most anticipated features for Windows 11 users has been the ability to access their mobile devices directly from their PC via the Start Menu. Over time, this functionality has been gradually refined for Android smartphones.
Microsoft’s announcement of full integration with iOS devices is the latest and most exciting update. This breakthrough opens up new possibilities, making the Windows 11 experience even more seamless across different platforms.

Since late 2024, Windows 11 has allowed users to access their mobile content directly from the Start Menu. After installing the latest update, the first time you open the Start Menu, a panel will appear on the right side, guiding you through the setup process for connecting your Android or iPhone. Simply follow the steps, and you’re good to go!
Now it is possible to share files between iPhone and Windows 11
The fact that iOS users can access their mobile device’s content through the PC with Windows 11 speaks very well of the great integration that Microsoft has been working on recently.
Previously, these features were exclusive to Android users. Still, iPhone users can also enjoy a range of functionalities, including checking battery status, monitoring Bluetooth connectivity, and accessing messages and calls—all from the Windows Start Menu.
But that’s not all. Users can also review recent activities from their mobile devices, such as calls, messages, and other interactions, for a more connected experience.
Additionally, file sharing between iOS and Windows 11 is now quick, simple, and secure, thanks to a convenient send button located at the bottom of the side panel.
