Apple is expected to launch the iPhone SE 4 this week, sparking a wave of speculation about its design and features. A recent video from the Unbox Therapy channel showcases a dummy unit, giving us a glimpse of what the new model might look like.
While Apple has not officially confirmed these design details, they align with previous leaks and reports. The iPhone SE 4 appears to have a more minimalist design compared to other models, featuring a single rear camera with a flash module beside it.
Its overall build is reminiscent of the iPhone 14, but with flatter edges and a silent mode switch positioned above the volume buttons. On the front, Apple is likely to stick with the traditional notch instead of the newer Dynamic Island. This notch will house the Face ID system, marking a shift from Touch ID fingerprint unlocking, which was present in earlier SE models.
The new iPhone will have the performance to run
With the launch of the iPhone SE 4, Apple aims to bring its Apple Intelligence AI features to its most affordable devices.
To achieve this, the company needs to ensure the phone delivers strong performance. That’s why it’s expected to feature the same A18 chip found in the iPhone 16 lineup.
Other anticipated features include:
- A base model with 64GB of storage
- A 48MP main camera
- A 6.1-inch OLED display
- Apple’s own custom connectivity chip, making it the first device to include this component
- A USB-C port replacing the Lightning connector
- A starting price of around $499 in the U.S.
While Apple hasn’t officially confirmed the launch of the iPhone SE 4, CEO Tim Cook has announced an event for February 19, where the company may reveal the smartphone along with other new products.
