Nvidia has rolled out a new hotfix driver, version 566.45, for its GeForce graphics cards. Built on the foundation of the recently launched Game Ready driver 566.36, this update focuses on resolving two key issues reported by players.
The primary fix addresses some users’ occasional micro-stuttering while playing Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. The game has been steadily gaining traction among players despite its initial lukewarm reception on Steam.
Improved stability for Ubisoft titles
The Nvidia hotfix driver 566.45 also enhances stability and performance for Ubisoft games built on the Snowdrop engine. This includes Star Wars Outlaws, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, and Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope.
Hotfix drivers like this are designed to address specific, pressing issues, so Nvidia suggests installing this version only if you’re experiencing the problems it resolves. If not, it’s better to wait for the next regular driver update, which is expected to arrive early next year.
Wide support for GeForce cards
The 566.45 hotfix driver is compatible with 64-bit Windows 10 and 11 versions and supports an extensive lineup of GeForce graphics cards, ranging from the GTX 700 series to the latest RTX 40 series. Additionally, several Titan models are included in its support list.
However, according to VideoCardz, this update does not address the issues some users have reported with the Nvidia app, precisely problems likely tied to the overlay feature. For now, Nvidia suggests disabling the overlay as a temporary workaround for these issues.
