When Jensen Huang took the stage at CES 2025 to announce the GeForce RTX 50, he also revealed that DLSS 4 would be supported in 75 games and applications. In the days following the announcement, NVIDIA unveiled the full list of titles that will benefit from this cutting-edge technology.
Among the highlighted games are God of War Ragnarok, Hogwarts Legacy, Silent Hill 2, and many other popular titles. This expansion promises to enhance gaming experiences with improved performance and visuals, showcasing DLSS 4’s powerful capabilities across various genres.
The new DLSS 4 is for RTX 50
DLSS 4 is set to significantly boost FPS in games, especially when compared to native performance, offering potential improvements of up to 9x depending on the GPU and game. This leap in performance is driven by Multi Frame Generation, a technology that uses AI to generate three frames for each one rendered by the GPU.
However, DLSS 4 is exclusive to Blackwell GPUs. While many of the games on the list will support the new technology, it’s unclear whether all will include Multi Frame Generation. DLSS 4 also introduces enhancements to Super Resolution (upscaling) and Ray Reconstruction, which improves ray tracing quality—features available for other GeForce RTX cards as well.
Notably, Cyberpunk 2077, one of the titles NVIDIA used to demonstrate DLSS 4’s capabilities, will receive support for the new tech. This update is expected to arrive alongside the release of the RTX 5080 and RTX 5090 on January 30th.
Jacob Freeman, an NVIDIA representative, shared this information in a post on social media. He also clarified that only Blackwell chips can handle Flip Metering, which ensures more stable frames—crucial for delivering the benefits of Multi Frame Generation.
