Samsung has broadened the range of models compatible with Google’s Circle to Search feature, now including the Galaxy Tab S9 FE tablet and the mid-range Galaxy A35, A34, A54, and A55.
Circle to Search is an AI-powered Google feature that allows users to highlight any portion of their screen and search for more information about the selected content. This versatile tool can scan QR codes, solve math problems, and even identify clothing styles from photos.
Originally launched for the Galaxy S24 line in January, Circle to Search was extended to premium devices like the Galaxy S23 and the foldable Z Flip 6 and Z Fold 6. Samsung is now making this feature accessible to more mid-range A-line devices. These models may not have the hardware for the full suite of Galaxy AI functions, but with Circle to Search, they can still enjoy some of the advanced features.
TM Roh, Samsung’s President and Global Head of Mobile experience, emphasized the company’s dedication to making top-tier AI technology accessible to more users. “We are committed to bringing best-in-class AI technology to a wider audience, enabling people to work more efficiently, create more freely, and have richer, more personalized interactions with their devices,” he stated.
Samsung has announced that the global distribution of these Galaxy A models will start this Wednesday (14). However, availability in Brazil will be confirmed at a later date.
A similar function in the browser
Google plans to introduce Circle to Search to at least 200 million mobile devices by the end of the year, and the addition of new Samsung devices will help meet this target.
The company has also rolled out a similar feature in Chrome for browsers, where users can activate the command by dragging the screen with the mouse.
