Samsung releases One UI 6.1.1 for Galaxy S24 and announces update for other models

Samsung has begun rolling out One UI 6.1.1, introducing new AI features across its devices. The update started with the Galaxy S24 series in South Korea on September 5 and will reach Europe and North America on September 9. In the coming weeks, Samsung plans to expand the rollout to other markets and devices.

In addition to the Galaxy S24, One UI 6.1.1 will also be available for the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, and the Galaxy Tab S9 series.

The new interface brings features previously exclusive to newer models like the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 to these older devices, offering enhanced functionality and AI capabilities.

Note Assist allows users to translate and summarize notes and transcribe audio into text. PDF Overlay Translation can directly translate text within PDFs, graphics, and images. Sketch to Image turns simple sketches into detailed images, simplifying visual creation.

Regarding communication, the translation tool has been expanded with Listening Mode, which provides real-time speech translation. The new writing assistant helps compose messages and emails by generating text from user-provided keywords.

For content creators, Portrait Studio enables the creation of portraits in various styles, while Instant Slow-mo makes editing slow-motion videos easier, preserving image quality.

Samsung mentioned that “software updates for additional Galaxy devices and countries will be available in the coming weeks.”
