Trump-Era Tariffs Prompt Razer to Halt U.S. Sales Without Notice

By Aayush

The trade war initiated by former U.S. President Donald Trump is beginning to show renewed ripple effects in the American tech market. One of the most notable recent examples is Razer, a global giant in gaming peripherals and laptops, which has abruptly halted its product sales in the U.S. following the latest tariff announcement.

According to Tom’s Hardware, Razer products have vanished from the brand’s official U.S. site—something that was also independently verified by All Tech Nerd. Even newly launched items, such as an adjustable laptop stand, are no longer available to American consumers.

The company has yet to state the sudden change.

Some product pages now display error 404 messages, indicating the items may have been delisted, while others are marked as “out of stock” or offer a notification button for users to be alerted if the product becomes available again. Interestingly, when users switch to versions of the website for other countries—like Brazil—these same pages and products appear to function normally.

So far, Razer has remained silent. Neither Tom’s Hardware nor The Verge—both of which reported on the issue—have received any official response from the company.

Razer isn’t the only brand affected. Framework, a company known for its modular and repairable laptops, is one of the few to publicly confirm a pause in U.S. sales for some of its more affordable products. In a recent social media post, Framework explained that they—and likely others in the industry—are reassessing the financial impact of the new tariffs and may need to take similar actions.
