Anticipation is building for the Xiaomi 14T, expected to be unveiled in September, as new details about this affordable flagship smartphone continue to emerge. Recent Geekbench performance tests have shed light on some of the device’s technical specifications ahead of its official announcement.

The smartphone, identified by model number 2406APNFAG, appears to be equipped with an octa-core processor running at a base frequency of 2.20 GHz. This information aligns with speculation that the device will feature MediaTek’s Dimensity 8300 Ultra chip.

The benchmark results also reveal that the tested unit comes with 12 GB of RAM and runs Android 14 out of the box. In terms of performance, the device achieved impressive scores of 4,389 points in the single-core test and 15,043 points in the multi-core test.

These findings corroborate earlier reports that confirmed the Xiaomi 14T’s codename as “degas” and associated it with the model numbers 2406APNFAG and XIG06.

While the Xiaomi 14T is expected to utilize the Dimensity 8300 Ultra chipset, rumors suggest that its more premium counterpart, the Xiaomi 14T Pro, may be powered by the Dimensity 9300. This is the same processor found in the Vivo X100, notable for being the first smartphone to feature a 200 MP telephoto camera.

As the launch date approaches, more information about Xiaomi’s upcoming devices will likely surface. The timing of these leaks aligns with the company’s previous release schedule, as the Xiaomi 13T series was introduced in September 2023, suggesting a similar timeframe for this year’s models.
